The ASV SR80 and PT80 tracked skidsteer can have either an 18" or a 20" rubber track. The ASV SR80 / PT80 rubber tracks are made with Kevlar cords and have multiple rows of lugs on the inside. The 18" ASV rubber tracks have three rows of lugs and the 20" rubber track has four rows of lugs.
When purchasing aftermarket ASV SR80 rubber tracks or ASV PT80 rubber tracks, it is important to get a Kevlar corded rubber track. Some aftermarket companies use a polyester or an Aramid cord which is cheaper but will stretch. Once the track stretches, you will be at max adjustment on your machine and the track will not stay tight.
The 18" ASV SR80 / PT80 rubber track should look like this:
And the 20" ASV SR80 / PT80 rubber track should look like this:
The ASV SR80 and PT80 rely on quality rubber tracks that hold up to adverse conditions. The ASV machines use a multi-level suspension which maximizes traction and gives a smooth and stable ride. Some aftermarket rubber track companies claim they have a steel cord in their aftermarket ASV rubber tracks which cannot hold up. The steel doesn't have the flexibility to wrap around the drive and the cords can pop out through the track.
